Tamar & Royal Buildings

In 2015 we got consulted by a client who asked if we would be interested in wiring a new development he had purchased.

The property was going to be converted in to 31 flats, ranging from studio apartments to 5 bedroom units. At the time we only had 3 employees and this would have been the biggest job to date, by far.

We decided to take a risk and tender for the job. We were successful and that's where it all started. The job started in March and had to be finished by August for the September student intake,so the tight deadline did make us abit nervous. We got stuck right in to the installation and never stopped, with the help of sub contractors we delivered the job and to a very high standard. The 72 student room building was complete.

The client was impressed that we delivered the project, on time, on budget and to a standard he was very happy with.

He approached us and asked if we could carry out the same installation across the road (the building above). We accepted, won the job and initially completed 40 studio flats. It then progressed to another 16 flats on a new 4th floor extension and only in 2019 did we finalise the project adding another 21 flats, 49 student rooms to finally hand back this building complete.

In total we completed over 170 student rooms including all the distribution and installation of a new MCCB panel, a newly built transformer installed by Western Power fed the premises due to the new demand on the network.

We carry out all the regular maintenance on these buildings to date.
